Founder’s Findings: A World of Opportunity at The Edge

Following our editor’s terrific round up of business news in The Edge this week, I thought I’d give you a Christmas present in the form of information about our readership.

Following Brittany Landgrebe’s terrific round up of business news in The Edge this week, I thought I’d give you a Christmas present in the form of information about our readership.  Although the site has only been live for a couple of weeks, we have readers checking in from all over the globe!

Wordpress has a plug-in on its dashboard that tells you what cities your readers live in, and what brought them to your site. It’s endlessly fascinating, and I have to fight the urge to check it at all hours of the day and night. I’ve heard that for published authors, their Amazon ranking is a similar distraction but I wouldn’t know about that, unpublished first-timer that I am.
So here’s the list of locations tuning in to The Edge in the last two weeks:
  • Toronto, Canada
  • Seoul, Korea
  • Japan
  • Kelmar and Helsingborg, SE
  • Cornwall, UK
  • Bangkok, Thailand
  • Beijing and Shanghai, China
  • Bangalore, India
  • Australia
  • Moscow and Volograd, Russia
  • and 15 states across America!
To those of you who’ve wasted no time in becoming contributors to The Edge, I salute you on your fine achievement. To those who’ve been waiting for the right moment to join, I’d say that time is now. The New Year will shortly be upon us. Why not resolve to contribute weekly or monthly articles to Scribblers On The Edge? You may bring yourself one step closer to a publisher’s or agent’s notice, I don’t know for sure, but I can guarantee you’ll be entertaining writers and readers at large around the world. And to those readers from around the world, thank you for the best Christmas present ever! We are encouraged and delighted by your interest in the Edge.
